Your Impact
- Perform office and fieldwork on civil, environmental, and water resource projects, including environmental remediation/restoration, parks/recreation, stormwater/drainage, and resiliency/sustainability projects.
- Develop construction plans, specifications, and cost estimates; prepare safety and phasing plans; update infrastructure layouts; coordinate with owners, disciplines, sub-consultants, and clients.
- Manage design and construction of infrastructure projects from inception to completion, including rehabilitation, grading, and drainage.
- Lead civil engineering projects, manage budgets, monitor external events, track hours and expenses, supervise subcontractors.
- Assist with permit reviews, design plans, specifications, and conduct periodic inspections to ensure compliance with regulations and standards.
- Meet with public or private entities to discuss engineering and construction challenges.
- Support and develop client relationships, identify business opportunities.
- Mentor staff for professional growth.
- Stay current with civil engineering techniques and practices.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams on funded projects and proposals.
- Adhere to ethical standards and WSP's Code of Conduct.
- Perform additional duties as needed.
Who You AreRequired Qualifications
- BSc in Civil or Environmental Engineering from an accredited university
- 10+ years of experience in engineering and civil design for public works, environmental, or water resources projects
- Florida PE license
- Proficient in civil engineering principles, practices, design, permitting
- Experience with infrastructure design
- Effective communication skills for technical and non-technical audiences
- Strong leadership and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently, guide teams, and adhere to QA/QC standards
- Proficiency with AutoCAD, Civil 3D, ArcGIS, HEC-RAS, HEC-HMS, and technical writing
- Critical thinking and problem-solving skills
- Experience managing subcontractors and project deliveries
- Experience with business development is a plus
- Commitment to workplace safety and policy adherence
- Flexibility with schedules and travel as needed
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's Degree in Engineering
