Sr. IT Project Manager - Core Technology Solutions : Job Details

We are seeking an IT Project Manager with 3+ years of experience in IT project management and PMP certification to manage and coordinate all tasks associated with several, multi-agency, enterprise projects of significant complexity and risk.

*This is a hybrid role located in Columbia SC, working onsite in office three days a week and remote 2 days a week. Candidates must be a current resident of SC.

*W2 long term contract, must have work status to be employed directly (Green Card, US Citizen, EAD). No C2C or third party candidates, please.

What you will do in this role:

• Define project objectives and scope by reviewing project proposals to determine time frame, available funding, procedures, and various phases of the project lifecycle for several major, multi-agency, enterprise projects.
• Prepare necessary documentation to support project initiatives; review and manage proposal selection and bid recommendations.
• Coordinate and manage projects using project management methodologies from inception through completion.
• Determine and evaluate risks that may affect the project and implement a risk mitigation strategy.
• Oversee the development and execution of communication plans, which may include

communicating with organizational leaders, elected officials, and the public about the project's impact or status.

• Prepare status reports and provide updates to project stakeholders, sponsors, champions, etc.

Education/Experience required:

• A bachelor's degree in communications, business administration, information technology, mathematics, statistics, management information science or a related field and experience in telecommunications, data processing and/or information technology.
• (3+) years of experience in project management with proficiency in technology.
• Certified Associate in Project Management or Project Management Professional (PMP).
• 1+ year of experience with financial applications, enterprise reporting, and managing transformation projects.
