As a leading global 3PL (3rd party logistics) transportation organization with over 35,000 employees in over 400 sites across 18 countries, we pride ourselves on our customer first approach and commitment to operational excellence.Position Overview:The successful Industrial Engineer candidate is one who thrives in the technical aspects of the position and enjoys customer interaction and project management to support our nationwide network of distribution centers. The successful candidate will bring experience in engineering solutions relative to creating distribution center layouts, analyzing productivity, creating pricing models, and optimizing strategies in our current environments. Will follow corporate and site-specific Good Manufacturing Practices and report noncompliance when observed. In addition, the candidate will observe all company safety rules and assist in enforcement as appropriate.Work Location: This role will need to be within a commutable distance of Bethlehem, PA.Work Schedule: First Shift Hybrid, Monday - Friday 8:30am - 5:00pm Eastern Standard Time.Work Travel: Less than 10% domestic travel.Compensation: Attractive annual salary of $120,000 - $140,000 plus a performance-based bonus, with benefits including health, dental, and vision insurance, 401(k) matching, and more.Responsibilities:Coordinates and aids in the design, evaluation, planning, integration, testing and completion activities in engineering projectsDevelop pricing estimates for new business opportunitiesDetermines the most effective means for an organization to use capital, equipment, energy, facilities, information, material, people, and other assets to make a product or servicePlans utilization of facilities, equipment, materials, and personnel to improve efficiency of operationsStudies product or service and its requirements, using mathematical methods such as operations research, to meet those requirements and design manufacturing and information systemsReviews functional statements, organization charts, and project information to determine functions and responsibilities of workers and work units and to identify areas of duplicationPropose new automated warehousing solutions to increase productivity and improve throughputAnalyze storage solutions and material handling processes and recommend optimal strategies to maximize efficienciesImprove warehouse flow by optimizing storage strategies and zoningPerform Return on Investment (ROI) analyses to justify capital proposalsDesign and create warehouse layouts for new and existing facilities using AutoCADSelect and work with outside vendors to complete capital projectsDevelop and integrate targeted solutions with customers and operations managementAnalyze existing processes and recommend opportunities for improvementCreate workflow plansConduct time studiesDetermine productivity numbersContinually re-evaluate work process for productivity improvementsFollow corporate and site-specific Good Manufacturing Practices and report noncompliance when observed.Observe all company safety rules and assist in enforcement as appropriate.Other duties as assignedThis role is open to individuals who are authorized to work in the United States and do not require immigration sponsorship now or in the future.Requirements:Minimum Requirements:Bachelors degree in Industrial Engineering required2+ years-experience in a warehouse environmentKnowledge of secondary packaging and/or manufacturingKnowledge of quality and safety conceptsWMS KnowledgePreferred Qualifications:Ability to analyze a wide variety of dataSelf-motivated, strong interpersonal, oral, and written communication skillsComputer proficiency in MS Office, including intermediate knowledge of Microsoft ExcelStrong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlinesFlexibility and adaptability in a growing, fast-paced environmentExperience with ERP sys#BG #IND123Req Benefits: Medical, Dental, Vision-FSA/HSA programs available-401K with matching program-Vacation and sick time-Friendly and Open-Door culture
