Mission:

We are seeking a seasoned Senior Global Product Owner to lead the development and lifecycle sustainment of CenTrak's hardware solutions in the RTLS healthcare space. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a growing, fast-paced, cross-functional environment and excels at translating customer needs into impactful product strategies. The ideal candidate will bring deep expertise in healthcare, a strong grasp of market dynamics, and a record of delivering and sustaining value-driven product solutions.

Responsibilities:

  • Hardware and Firmware Lifecycle Ownership: Manage the full lifecycle of RTLS hardware and firmware — ensuring performance and reliability in clinical settings. Garner deep technical and functional understanding of CenTrak's portfolio and technology stack.
  • Product Backlog Leadership: Own and prioritize a global product backlog with a clear focus on business value, technical feasibility, and market impact.
  • Product Roadmap Stewardship: Maintain and evolve a product roadmap aligned with company strategy, customer needs, and technological advancements.
  • Sustainment Strategy: Lead efforts to manage sustaining issues and minimize customer impact, ensuring ongoing hardware performance, field reliability, and operational efficiency.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with engineering, PMO, supply chain, quality/regulatory, sales, services, and marketing teams to drive seamless execution of product development and sustaining activities.
  • Team Mindset: Ability to work closely with Product Manager(s) and other Product Owner(s) to bring innovative solutions to the market by supporting analysis of opportunities and proposed product requirements.
  • Voice of Customer (VOC): Possess the ability to collect and synthesize robust VOC from healthcare stakeholders to shape product priorities and define meaningful outcomes.
  • Market & Competitive Analysis: Continuously evaluate market trends and competitive landscapes to inform roadmap adjustments and positioning strategies.
  • Metrics & Reporting: Define, track, and report on key product performance indicators, customer satisfaction metrics, and benefit realization.
  • Healthcare Environment Engagement: Engage directly with clinicians, hospital administrators, and field personnel to understand workflows, validate needs, and identify areas for innovation. Work closely with CenTrak's partner network and act as the SME for RTLS infrastructure and firmware.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, business, or a related technical discipline; advanced degrees or hybrid technical/business backgrounds preferred.
  • 6-8+ years of experience in product ownership or management with a strong emphasis on hardware and firmware development and sustainment, ideally in healthcare environments.
  • Solid understanding of the healthcare technology landscape; RTLS or MedTech experience is highly desirable.
  • Proven expertise in Agile methodologies; Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO) or equivalent certification preferred. Ability to work within a Phase Gate process for New Product Development.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead multi-disciplinary hardware initiatives with a proven record of achieving project milestones.
  • Experience interfacing with clinical professionals and translating clinical workflows into actionable product requirements.
  • Ability to conduct product demos and convey solution value to leadership and other stakeholders.
  • Persuasive communication skills, executive presence, thoughtful stakeholder management, and polished presentation skills with a global, cross-cultural perspective.
  • Ability to make data-informed decisions in ambiguous situations and balance short-term needs with long-term strategy.
  • Willingness and ability to travel (25-35%) to customer sites across North America to capture direct feedback and ensure alignment with field realities.
