Apex is seeking a Financial Analyst to join a growing company near West Chester, PA. This is a Hybrid role. Only local candidates will be considered.

Job Purpose/Overview

The Retail Sr. Financial Analyst will have the responsibility to develop, track and report profitability of the business under the retail channel. As a Financial Analyst, your work, whether it's modeling business scenarios or tracking performance metrics, is used by our leadership team to make strategic company decisions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare monthly financial reporting for the management reflecting actual results and comparison vs forecast/budget.
  • Analyze trends through key performance indicators in order to give right guidance to the key stakeholders.
  • Interact with Retail Sales Department to build specific action plans to improve channel and customer P&L profitability.
  • Build new reporting and manage return on promotion investments through new Trade Promo Management tool.
  • Manage pricing strategy and implementation for the specific channel.
  • Work closely with Sales Department, Marketing Department and Commercial Strategy department in order to build business cases for new product launches.
  • Assist key stakeholders on ad hoc analysis and Business Cases.
  • Work closely with Sales Department and A/R department to better understand trade spend estimates for the closing period.
Context and Scope

The Sr. Financial Analyst will be an agile member of the team as the role must heavily collaborate, understand with all members of the greater finance team in order to develop narratives and insights from the numbers. The role will be the key facilitator of communicating the month end results, monthly forecasts and annual budget submissions. Also, the role will be the analytical central hub for the finance team. The role should lead and innovate all new modelling based on insights and business knowledge. The broad scope of this role requires the individual to be proficient with accounting and have advanced skills in analytics.

Job Specifications/Qualifications

1. Education & Professional Qualification

  • Four-year college degree from an accredited institution, Accounting / Finance or Management Information Systems

2. Knowledge/Experience

  • 3-to-7 years of related experience, must be within a large multinational CPG organization
  • Expert Excel, Word and PowerPoint Skills; SAP knowledge desirable
  • Strong analytical skills; as well as verbal and written communications skills
  • Excellent understanding of P&L preparation and analysis of variances
  • Position requires ability to quickly shift priorities to adapt to changing requirements. Ability to meet tight deadlines
  • Excellent organizational skills with an ability to think proactively and prioritize work
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and a high volume of work in an accurate and timely manner
