Overview:

The Senior Enrollment Manager (SEM) assists in the management of student recruitment and admissions strategies for Western Atlantic University School of Medicine (WAUSM) in an assigned territory by creating and executing a territory management plan. Responsible for identifying and advising prospective students through the application and enrollment processes and identifying and developing relationships with pre-med advisors and partner institutions.

The position is responsible for driving student enrollment growth and developing institutional partnerships through strategic outreach and relationship-building. This includes recruiting prospective students via personalized communications and leading virtual and in-person info sessions for students and pre-med advisors. The role involves identifying and engaging target universities, coordinating regional events, and supporting WAUSM campus visits for both students and advisors. Additionally, the position develops and maintains relationships with key stakeholders at undergraduate institutions, including administrators, pre-health advisors, and international offices, while also managing data, marketing materials, and partnership progress to support long-term enrollment goals.

Travel: Requirement to travel intermittently for recruitment events, more frequently in peak seasons of Fall and Spring.

Location: This position is an ‘in-person' office position in Bloomfield, NJ.

Responsibilities:

  • Student:
  • Recruit students to apply and enroll via phone calls, emails, texts, according to Slate work queues
  • Prospect designated region and identify university targets, events, initiatives to promote enrollment growth
  • Lead info sessions, either in person and virtually, specific to undergraduate schools' pre-med clubs
  • Lead WAUSM Webinar virtual info sessions per year
  • Plan, coordinate and attend 1-2 regional industry events per year
  • Attend and lead accepted student visits to campus in Freeport (2 per year)
  • Advisors:
  • Initiate and develop relationships with pre-med advisors via initial prospecting and outreach through online research, as well as campus visits and conferences.
  • Prospect designated region and identify university targets, events, initiatives to promote enrollment growth and introduce partnership opportunities.
  • Schedule and lead advisor facing virtual meetings/info sessions to promote school (1 per month)
  • Attend regional health professions events to network and promote school (1 per year)
  • Attend and assist Advisor Visits to Campus (2 per year)
  • Undergraduate Partners: In conjunction with WAUSM leadership, prospect designated region and identify university targets, events, initiatives to promote enrollment growth and introduce partnership opportunities.
  • Schedule and lead advisor facing virtual meetings/info sessions to promote school (1 per month)
  • Attend regional health professions events to network and promote school (1 per year)
  • Attend and assist Advisor Visits to Campus (2 per year)
  • Establish and maintain relationships with key contacts at target schools, including academic advisors, pre-health program coordinators, and international student offices
  • Establish and maintain relationships with Pre Med Students

Other:

  • Accurately forecasts and tracks individual recruitment goals and reports progress to management on a regular basis
  • Collaborates with Marketing and Communications to effectively promote events
  • Continuously enhances product knowledge to effectively advise students; travels domestically and internationally as assigned to maintain and continuously improve understanding of the WAUSM curriculum, campus facilities, student housing, and clerkship experience
  • Stays abreast of territory trends, market and demands to forecast recruitment strategies
  • Uses the CRM to track activities, enter notes and plan events
  • Conducts self with WAUSM's Mission and Core Values guiding all activities and interactions
  • Completes other duties as assigned by the management team

  • Bachelor's degree required
  • 3-5 years of previous admissions and/or business development experience preferred
  • Ability to be autonomously, take ownership, and make decisions
  • Flexibility to schedule working time around students' and/or departmental needs
  • Dynamic public speaking skills (previous public speaking / presentation experience highly desired)
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills are required
  • Capacity to work in a fast-paced environment, be a quick learner, and a self-starter
  • Exceptional organizational and time management skills
  • Prior CRM experience preferred (Campus Café, Slate, Salesforce, etc.), but not required
  • Goal oriented and internally motivated
