Sr. Engineer, Melt Design - Corning : Job Details

Melt Design Engineer, working on new processes and platform designs to extend current platform capability and life, and develop new platforms for new businesses or glass compositions. Develop concepts, either through software (Solid. Works) or experimental work (labs/existing platforms). Owns the design from concept to implementation. Track Intellectual Property of the new processes and designs and ensure documentation. Day-to-Day Responsibilities Provide design support and fabrication support for the different MA - Ps and S&T groups in Corning. Work with research melter, division engineering and manufacturing staff to understand businesses needs and work to create synergies if possible. Learn from and work under the direction of Design experts (Associate/ Sr. Associate/ Fellow) to provide calculations, designs and assessments.
