IDEAL CANDIDATE- Ideal candidate has 5-10 years in a large manufacturing environment. Experienced in LOTO, OSHA PSM, permitting, incident investigations and root cause analysis. Hiring manager is looking for someone who doesn't make frequent job moves.
DETAILS:- We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior EHS Manager to lead the Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) team at our client's large and complex manufacturing site.
- The ideal candidate will be responsible for the overall EHS program at the site, including creating and implementing strategic safety and EHS initiatives to foster and enhance our EHS culture.
- This role requires a strong technical EHS skillset to ensure compliance with all applicable laws and regulations. It includes participation on the Plant Leadership Team and managing a team of direct reports as well as the ability to lead and influence without direct authority.
Key Responsibilities:- Leadership:Lead and manage a team of EHS professionals, providing guidance, support, and development opportunities.
- Strategic Initiatives:Develop and implement strategic EHS initiatives to continuously improve the site's EHS culture and performance.
- Technical Expertise:Strong background in critical safety programs, such as LOTO, Machine Guarding, Powered Industrial Trucks, Electrical Safety and Fall Protection.
- Compliance:Ensure compliance with all relevant EHS regulations, laws, standards, and company policies.
- Training and Development:Design and deliver training programs to enhance the technical skills and knowledge of the EHS team.
- Incident Management:Facilitate incident investigations with strong root cause analysis and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
- Continuous Improvement:Drive continuous improvement in EHS processes and practices through data analysis, audits, and feedback.
- Stakeholder Engagement:Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate EHS considerations into operational decisions and projects.
Qualifications:- Bachelor's degree in Environmental Health & Safety, Engineering, or related field. Advanced degree preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in EHS management in a large manufacturing environment.
- Strong technical knowledge of LOTO, Machine Guarding, incident investigation, and root cause analysis.
- Proven leadership experience with the ability to develop and mentor a team.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced and complex environment.
- Experience with OSHA PSM and ISO 1400, preferred.
