Job Summary:

As Sr. Director, Network Engineering Leader, you will lead a team of solutions engineers to design, deliver, and optimize advanced networking solutions, focusing on switches, routing, and related infrastructure. This role bridges technical expertise with business strategy, ensuring high-quality data center solutions that meet customer needs and drive organizational growth.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Lead, mentor, and manage a team of Solutions Engineers, fostering collaboration and innovation.
• Develop training programs to enhance technical expertise and keep skills current.
• Set goals, monitor performance, and drive continuous improvement.

• Oversee design, implementation, and optimization of network switching solutions, including Layer 2/3 switching, SDN, and automation.
• Guide the team in developing strategies to achieve business outcomes and sales targets.
• Provide technical guidance on complex networking architectures and protocols.

• Act as a trusted advisor for customers, translating business requirements into technical solutions.
• Build and maintain relationships with stakeholders, including customers, partners, and internal teams.
• Support sales teams by articulating the value of networking solutions and participating in bids.

• Collaborate with product managers, architects, and engineering teams to influence product strategy.
• Convey market and customer requirements to inform product development.

• Stay updated with industry trends and emerging technologies to identify opportunities for innovation.
• Act as a thought leader for the organization's networking solutions.

• Establish workflows to improve operational efficiency and scalability.
• Review cost implications, risks, and project delivery within budget and timeline.

Qualifications:

• Extensive experience in networking technologies, especially switches, routing, protocols, and architectures.
• Proven leadership and management skills, with experience leading technical teams.
• Strong strategic, problem-solving, and project management abilities.
• Excellent communication skills to articulate complex concepts and build stakeholder relationships.
• Customer-focused, with a history of translating needs into solutions.
• Experience with network automation, SDN, and large-scale deployments is desirable.
• Bachelor's or Master's in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field preferred.
• 12+ years in related fields, with 10+ years in management preferred.

$239,000 - $291,000

Salary depends on location, experience, education, skills, and other factors. Benefits include a comprehensive package, with potential bonuses and equity.
