The pay range is $95,000.00 - $171,000.00.

Role Overview:

As a Sr Data Scientist, you will join a Target Tech team responsible for Merchandising Assortment Data Science products. You will collaborate with Product, Tech, and business partners to solve retail challenges at scale for our merchandising organization. You will design, develop, deploy, and maintain data science models and tools. You'll work closely with data scientists, engineers, and business partners to continuously learn and address evolving business needs. You'll also collaborate with product and engineering peers to build and productionize enterprise merchandising solutions.

Core Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and deploy data science models and tools for merchandising.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify business needs and translate them into data science solutions.
• Maintain and improve existing data science models and processes.
• Communicate findings and insights effectively to stakeholders.
• Stay updated with the latest in data science and retail technology.

About You:

• PhD/MS/BS in Applied Mathematics, Statistics, Physics, Computer Science, or related quantitative field.
• 3+ years of experience in cleaning, transforming, and analyzing large datasets for insights leading to business improvements.
• Experience developing, testing, and maintaining large codebases in a collaborative environment following industry best practices.
• Strong knowledge of mathematical and statistical concepts, data structures, algorithms, data analysis, optimization, simulations, and visualizations applied to business problems.
• Exceptional experience using Python for machine learning, including supervised and unsupervised methods.
• Experience deploying solutions with large-scale business impact.
• Self-driven, results-oriented, with the ability to meet tight deadlines.
• Strong team player with excellent collaboration skills across geographies and time zones.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Additional Information:

This position will operate as a Hybrid/Flex for Your Day work arrangement based on Target's needs, requiring onsite presence at Target HQ MN and virtual work as needed.
