Sr. Construction Engineer - Lansing - Fishbeck, Thompson, Carr & Huber : Job Details

Oversee the administration and coordination of multiple highway and bridge rehabilitation and reconstruction projects. Ensure contractor compliance with contract documents and project specifications. Plan and lead project meetings, including pre-construction, progress, HMA/concrete pre-production, and public meetings. Prepare and distribute meeting minutes. Supervise engineers and technicians in inspection, administration, and documentation from pre-bid to contract close-out. Manage project pay estimates, contract modifications, work orders, and supporting documentation. Review and validate work produced by the project oversight team in the field and office. Provide technical leadership for complex assignments and mentor junior staff. Interpret and apply contract documents to address unforeseen project challenges. Monitor staff performance to ensure compliance with contractual requirements. Communicate effectively with internal teams, local agencies, and the general public.
