Job Details Job Description Job Summary The Senior Clinical Informatics Specialist reports to the Associate CNIO and is directly responsible for providing consultation, coordination, and evaluation of clinical informatics processes, as well as integrating these processes with system-wide clinical information technology strategies. Essential Functions Interacts with co-workers, visitors, and staff consistent with Jefferson's values. Meets all Patient Satisfaction Initiative Criteria to make Jefferson Health the hospital of choice for patients and employees. Collaborates to communicate and coordinate clinical operations improvement activities during assessment, implementation, and post go-live phases of clinical applications for an EMR. Facilitates innovative thinking in workflow processes. Implements processes for ongoing content management of best practice, evidence-based workflows, order sets, forms, and documentation tools to meet minimum requirements and ensure consistent application across the system. Assesses needs and implements strategies to link practice guidelines to electronic medical records, including future directions for healthcare informatics within the organization. Models teamwork within the department and may act as a working lead when needed. Regularly reviews nursing informatics literature and best practices. Performs other duties as assigned. Competencies (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities) Knowledge of computer and database development. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal. Ability to prioritize and work effectively within teams. Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, and Teams. Education BSN required; Master's degree in a relevant field preferred. Experience Minimum 2 years of nursing experience and 5+ years in informatics or related fields.
