Responsibilities and Accountabilities
- Represent our customer from a technical perspective to clients, Engineers of Record (EORs), permitting authorities, and suppliers
- Review, understand, and work in alignment with the Scope of Work (SOW), site studies/conditions, permitting processes and approvals, commissioning and performance testing requirements, project budget, and schedule
- Maintain a day-to-day focus on the production of planning documents and reports
- Oversee detailed design efforts, manage Requests for Information (RFIs), conduct quality checks, and lead value engineering initiatives
- Review and coordinate design documentation related to civil engineering, while ensuring alignment with other disciplines including survey, geotechnical, environmental, electrical, structural, SCADA/DAS, BESS, and high-voltage systems
- Plan, design, and coordinate permitting packages and Authority Having Jurisdiction (AHJ) submittals to meet project approval timelines—emphasizing site planning, entitlements, grading, drainage, and stormwater management
- Proactively identify and implement cost- and time-saving strategies to enhance project efficiency and value
- Stay informed on new and emerging technologies and incorporate innovative solutions into project designs

- Proficient in Civil 3D software
- Committed to continuous improvement of processes, tools, and technology
- Maintains a positive and enthusiastic attitude, especially in high-pressure environments
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Civil Engineering preferred) from an accredited institution
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in the planning, design, and/or operation of photovoltaic systems
- Professional Engineer (PE) cert or willing to work towards
