Ranked 18th in US mass transit and rail design by ENR, we have been a trusted partner since 1985 and employ nearly 200 personnel nationwide.Part of the SYSTRA Group, a global engineering and consulting firm with over 10,500 employees, we emphasize a collaborative approach built on the value of Connected Teams, sharing skills, information, and best practices worldwide.ContextWe are seeking a Senior Business Development Manager to join our Operations Team, helping us meet our clients' objectives and address their challenges.As a Business Development Manager, you will work with a team of engineers, designers, and project staff to ensure the success of client projects within scope and budget.Main ResponsibilitiesDuties and Responsibilities:

  • Participate in weekly Go/No-Go meetings to select opportunities and develop winning strategies.
  • Identify and position SYSTRA for upcoming opportunities, define teaming strategies, and lead client management plans in collaboration with COO, Marketing, and Sector Leads.
  • Develop and maintain positive client relations within the public transportation and rail industries.
  • Assist in proposal writing, review, and cost estimation with Marketing and Capture Managers.
  • Support COO in managing the commercial pipeline and preparing reports and reviews.
  • Share business intelligence and resources to facilitate project and market development nationwide.
  • Pursue industry speaking engagements to enhance the SYSTRA brand.
Ensure all Health, Safety, & Security (3S) initiatives are implemented in coordination with the 3S Director, including safety during project design and field activities.QualificationsRequired:
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in relevant disciplines.
  • 15 years of experience in rail engineering design and project management.
  • Proven success with key public clients in Northeast and Midwest regions, and experience with major contractors.
  • Experience with various project delivery types and working environments.

Willingness and ability to travel nationally and internationally.Preferred:

  • Leadership roles or memberships in industry organizations.
