Job Title: Sr. Appian Developer - 243228 Position Type: Contract OR CTH Contract Duration: 12+ months (with extensions up to 36 months) Please note - contract to hire eligibility is after 6 months for individuals who reside in the Washington DC metro / DMV area only. Work Location: 100% Remote in the US - working EST Hours Compensation: Depends on experience and tax terms, targeting ~$60-$85+ / hour ABOUT OUR CLIENT Our client is a Health Plan organization that partners with US Military and DoD end-customers for a variety of managed and primary care plans. This role will be joining a new team to help build a modern membership web portal using Appian and the low-code environment. We are seeking individuals who have at least 5 years prior experience with Appian Development in a Cloud DevOps, CI/CD environment. Please note that US is Citizenship is required due to Department of Defense (DoD) end-customer data access and security clearance requirementsRESPONSIBILITIES

• Working in a team environment to design, build, test and deploy an Appian-based web portal for Healthcare Membership Data
• Holding working sessions with stakeholders in order to understand requirements and refine the technical design. This role will need the ability to communicate with executive leadership and then translate complex business needs into Appian solution
• The environment includes AWS and Azure Cloud instances, with CI/CD and DevOps in place -- prior experience working with code version control will be required.
• Working in a highly regulated environment (FedRAMP, DoD, DISA, HIPAA regulatory standards all apply)
• Participating in the end to end application lifecycle for a brand-new, greenfield application.
• Responsibilities will include coding, debugging, performance tuning, version control, and continuous improvement
• Configuring and integrating Appian applications with cloud services (AWS, Azure) and enterprise data using APIs.
• Experience with SQL is necessary for database integration and validation

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

• US citizenship is required due to DoD end-customers
• Prior experience with a Health Plan or Managed Care / Payer Side Healthcare is highly preferred
• 5+ years of hands-on experience in Appian Development
• Appian Senior Developer Certification preferred
• Experience working in a cloud devops /CICD environment
• Strong SQL
