Location: Onsite in Richmond, VA, New York, NY, Dallas, TX, Kansas City, MO or Philadelphia, PA.

Job Description:

Our client is seeking a talented individual with a strong background in Ansible automation and Storage administration to join their team as Sr. Ansible Automation Engineer. In this role, the candidate will be responsible for designing and implementing solutions using Ansible, python and shell scripting for SAN Storage components. Our goal is to automate and streamline manual processes for teams by providing a robust automation solution.

Responsibilities

• Experience developing Automation/Orchestration with Ansible and Ansible Controller
• Develop, test, and deploy Ansible playbooks.
• Knowledge of Hitachi storage tooling
• Knowledge of Cisco fabric management
• Collect requirements, analyze solutions, and create recommendations and track Agile stories.
• Work collaboratively with the other engineering team to create and deploy automation solutions
• Provide technical documentation, procedures, and technical support to Ops concerning automation solution usage.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues in our dev, test, and production environments for identified infrastructure.
• Update system documentation, diagrams and Standard Operation Procedures as needed.
• Collaborate with teams to ensure smooth deployment and management of storage applications
• Work on Python and Ansible development projects to enhance automation and efficiency
• Stay up-to-date with Ansible automation best practices to optimize the infrastructure environment

Required:

• Proficiency in Ansible/Ansible Controller
• Hands on experience with Rest API
• Hands-on experience with Python and shell scripting
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines (Gitlab) and automation tools
