At GDIT, people are our differentiator. As a SQL Database Analyst you will help ensure today is safe and tomorrow is smarter. Our work depends on a TS/SCI cleared SQL Database Analyst joining our team to support our intelligence customer in Springfield, VA.
Responsibilities
- Manages the functionality and efficiency of a group of servers running on one or more operating systems.
- Maintains the integrity and security of servers and systems.
- Sets up administrator and service accounts.
- Maintains system documentation.
- Interacts with users and evaluates vendor products.
- Develops and monitors policies and standards for allocation related to the use of computing resources.
- Develops and implements testing strategies and documents results.
- Provides advice on performance tuning and training to end-users.
- Maintains current knowledge of relevant technologies as assigned.
- Participates in special projects as required.
What Youll Need to Succeed / Qualifications
- Bachelors Degree in a Computer Science or related technical discipline, or the equivalent combination of education, technical certifications or training, or work experience
- 10+ years of related database analysis and/or administration experience
- SQL experience required. Oracle database administration a plus.
- CompTIA Security+ or equivalent recommended.
- Experience in Oracle or SQL administration/tuning; including knowledge and implementation of database high-availability solutions (Windows Server Failover Clusters, SQL Server Failover Cluster instances, and Always On Availability groups)
- Experience in monitoring, creating, and managing SQL server agent alerts
- Experience with Database backup, restore, migration, and Database snapshot technologies/strategies
- Knowledge on how to build/maintain efficient database table structures for both transactional and warehouse data
- Knowledge of Oracle 19c administration and performance tuning
- Candidates must hold a TS/SCI

Compensation
The likely salary range for this position is $90,950 - $123,050. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
