About the Role: The Lead Sports Performance Specialist (Lead SPS) is a key member of the Redline Bowie team, responsible for both delivering high-quality sports performance training and overseeing the athlete training experience. This role works directly with youth athletes of all sports, skill levels, and backgrounds — from beginners to those preparing for NCAA Division I competition. The Lead SPS will run Redline's proprietary 60-minute training sessions, which include mobility and activation training, active warm-ups, speed and agility work, sport-specific skill development, and strength training. In addition, this role provides leadership and oversight for the training staff, manages athlete performance tracking, and engages in outreach to members and the community. Key Responsibilities: Deliver sports performance training sessions that meet Redline's standards for quality, safety, and engagement Oversee and mentor trainers to ensure consistent coaching methods and correct form Program training using Redline Athletics Programming System (RAPs) Utilize Redline technology apps to track, test, and monitor athlete progress Conduct and interpret combine testing and sport-specific performance evaluations Interface with parents and athletes to review progress and set goals Assist with conversion of free trials to memberships through positive athlete experiences Engage in outreach to members and the community to promote Redline Bowie's programs Develop educational content to enhance member engagement and brand awareness Ensure training sessions meet each athlete where they are and help them progress toward their goals Supervising other coaches, Sport Performance Specialists Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Kinesiology, Exercise and Sports Science, or related field Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) certification (or equivalent) Experience training collegiate or professional athletes OR personal collegiate/professional playing experience Strong leadership, communication, and motivational skills Ability to train athletes across multiple sports and backgrounds Familiarity with combine testing and movement mechanics for various sports Must pass a background check Schedule: At least 5 days per week, 30+ hours/week Weekdays and at least 2 weekends per month Compensation & Benefits: $22–$27 per hour + revenue-sharing for 1-on-1 sessions, team training, camps, and clinics Life insurance (all employees) Health insurance (full-time employees) 401(k) with employer match Opportunities for growth within an expanding organization At Redline Athletics Bowie, we are passionate about building better athletes and better people.
