Job Title: Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP)

Location: Hondo, Texas

Shift: Days | 8-hour shifts | 40 hours/week guaranteed

Contract Duration: 13 weeks

Job Description:

We are seeking a dedicated Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to join our team in Hondo, Texas. The ideal candidate will provide evaluation, treatment, and rehabilitation services to patients with communication, cognitive, or swallowing disorders. This role involves close collaboration with patients, families, caregivers, and the healthcare team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

• Screen, evaluate, and develop individualized treatment plans for patients with speech, language, cognitive, or swallowing disorders.
• Utilize standardized assessments and evidence-based practices to support interventions.
• Monitor patient progress, document outcomes, and adjust treatments as necessary per regulatory and clinical standards.
• Provide counseling and education to patients, families, and caregivers regarding speech-related disorders.
• Communicate effectively with supervisors and healthcare team members regarding patient care and treatment plans.
• Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation within the EMR system.
• Complete comprehensive discharge summaries per regulatory requirements.
• Attend patient care conferences, utilization review meetings, and rehabilitation team meetings as required.
• Participate in facility and company-required training and in-services.
• Supervise and support Clinical Fellows (CFY) or student Speech-Language Pathologists.
• Ensure adherence to ASHA and State practice acts, code of conduct, and ethical standards.
• Assist in obtaining necessary DME or supplies as required.

Submission Requirements:

• Minimum 1 year of SLP experience – Required
• LTC or Rehab experience – Required
• New Grads welcome – must have Level II experience (not just observation)
• Active Texas State License – Required
• CCC certification – Required
• 3 years of experience holding active CCS – Preferred
• At least 1 professional reference required at submission
• Must be submitted at posted rate; requests for higher rates will be redirected

Certifications & Licensure:

• Active ASHA Certification (CCC-SLP) – Required
• Active Texas State License – Required
