Job Summary
The Speech Services Manager plays a vital role in managing and coordinating all practices for our Speech-Language Pathology (SLP) services. This position encompasses both clinical and administrative oversight, ensuring the highest quality assurance and supporting the strategic growth of our Speech Therapy Services across the company.
Duties & ResponsibilitiesDirect Therapy
- Assess and diagnose speech, language, and communication disorders.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans for clients.
- Provide therapy and interventions to enhance speech, language, and communication skills.
- Collaborate with BCBAs, BTs, and other ABA teammates for integrated client care.
- Educate clients and families about speech and language disorders and treatment options.
- Document client progress and maintain accurate treatment records.
- Utilize specialized equipment and technology for diagnosis and treatment.
Clinical Quality Assurance
- Design, implement, and maintain electronic documentation systems for SLP.
- Conduct audits to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Plan, review, and monitor referrals for timely service delivery.
- Ensure compliance with regulations for SLP services, including CARF, JACHO, and DOH.
Leadership
- Exhibit leadership in SLP initiatives and program development.
- Ensure high utilization of authorized client SLP sessions.
- Manage and supervise clinical and support staff, fostering career development.
- Develop staff training programs and lead new hires through established activities.
Strategic Growth
- Partner with leadership to strategically plan the growth of the Speech service line.
- Occasionally travel to support the SLP team and service line.
- Build relationships with community providers to enhance Accel's reputation.
- Collaborate with cross-functional leadership on marketing strategies.
- Engage in research and continuing education to stay current in the field.
Required Skills & Abilities
- Mastery expertise in the field of SLP.
- Experience in diverse clinical settings and leading new markets.
- Proficiency in using speech and language assessment tools.
- Strong communication skills with students, faculty, and parents.
- Exceptional leadership skills and team management abilities.
Education & Experience
- Master's degree in speech pathology required.
- State license as a speech pathologist is required.
- Willingness to obtain licenses in other states.
- Ability to travel up to 25% of the time.
- A minimum of three to five years of experience in the field preferred.
Physical Requirements
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Must be able to lift 15 pounds occasionally.
