Responsible for demonstrating LSSC's core values of Caring, Communicating, Collaborating, and Celebrating when interacting with students, employees, visitors, and community members. Essential Duties & ResponsibilitiesTest Administration & Proctoring
- Administer and proctor all tests, including academic, make-up, placement, entrance exams, certifications, distance learning, and credit-by-exam.
- Distribute and collect all test materials.
- Score exams as needed.
- Maintain current certification status on all administered tests by completing required vendor training.
Student Support & Accessibility
- Provide accommodations to students with disabilities in compliance with institutional guidelines.
- Interpret test scores and refer students to academic advising as appropriate.
Data Management & Recordkeeping
- Enter test data into the student management system, using specialized technical terminology as needed.
- Maintain accurate and secure test files and uphold assessment integrity, including addressing academic dishonesty per college and vendor policies.
Technical Support & Collaboration
- Help troubleshoot IT testing issues and coordinate with College IT and vendors' technical teams.
- Work with faculty on classroom make-up exams and address faculty testing concerns.
Operational Flexibility & Outreach
- Travel to other campuses and local high schools to support testing services.
- Maintain a flexible schedule aligned with departmental needs.
- Ensure a clean, safe, and organized testing environment.
Administrative Support
- Perform general clerical duties: answering phones, greeting visitors, scheduling appointments, and coordinating test schedules.
- Adhere to all College testing policies and procedures.
- Attend required training sessions and departmental meetings.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

- Proven ability to communicate professionally and empathetically with students, staff, faculty, and external testing partners.
- Demonstrate cultural competency and interpersonal skills to effectively support and engage students from various backgrounds, learning styles, and accessibility needs.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills with the capacity to manage multiple testing schedules and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Thorough understanding of Lake-Sumter State College (LSSC) policies, procedures, and academic programs, with the ability to apply them in daily testing operations.
- Proficient in using computer-based testing platforms, student information systems, and assistive testing technologies, with the ability to troubleshoot and adapt to evolving systems.
Minimum Qualifications & Education
- Required:
- Associate Degree from an accredited institution.
- Computer Skills: Microsoft Outlook, WORD, EXCEL, etc.
- Preferred:
- Bachelor's Degree from an accredited institution.
- 1-2yearsclerical/student-facing experience
