The Hershey Company Y&S Lancaster plant is a non-Union plant that produces licorice products such as Twizzlers, Nibs, and Pull & Peel in a high-speed complex environment. In addition, the Manufacturing Safety Specialist will: Compliance: Provide leadership for developing and implementing specific safety policies and programs. Maintain technical proficiency and serve as plant resource for EH&S program areas that deliver technical understanding to non-technical audiences. Develop and deliver effective safety training programs to any level in the organization. To attain compliance, provide technical guidance on complex safety issues to BU Leaders, supervisors, and other functional teams. Auditing: Perform or coordinate compliance inspections of safety procedures, equipment, and programs to ensure compliance with appropriate regulatory requirements and risk reduction management. Report on findings and work with plant management to develop action plans to address deficiencies.
