Our Accounting and Finance department is seeking a bright Accounts Payable Accountant. The position is responsible for full-cycle accounts payable, reconciliations, and assisting with month-end process. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Prepare daily profit and loss (P&L) reports for the business unit with accuracy and timeliness
- Assist with month-end close activities, including preparation of balance sheet journal entries
- Prepare monthly cost center allocation entries to ensure accurate expense reporting
- Manage full-cycle accounts payable process, including invoice review and approvals
- Track, review, and process vendor invoices in accordance with company policies
- Generate and maintain accounts payable reports
- Process travel advances and employee expense reports
- Prepare quarterly other expenses accruals
- Perform general ledger account reconciliations and investigate discrepancies as needed
- Reconcile daily P&L reporting to the month-end results for consistency and accuracy
- Review income statements for assigned business units
- Contribute to internal controls by creating and updating standard operating procedures
- Support ad-hoc reporting requests
- Perform other tasks and duties as required and assigned
Experience and Skills
- Bachelor's Degree from an accredited University, preferably in Accounting/Finance or related field
- 1+ years of related experience in Accounting or AP
- Knowledge and understanding of U.S. GAAP
- Knowledge of Great Plains software
- Strong analytical, problem-solving and critical-thinking skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint) with strong Excel skills
- Highly organized and able to multi-task and manage multiple projects and competing priorities without sacrificing accuracy or efficiency
- Excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to communicate effectively across various departments and levels of the organization
- Experience in Financial Services, particularly broker/dealer

The reasonable estimate of the compensation range for this role has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic location. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $30.00/hr to $36.00/hr.
