Soliant Education is seeking dedicated and compassionateSpecial Education Teachersforonsite school-age classroomsfor the 20252026 school year. This is a contract position with competitive hourly compensation and full benefits.

Caseload Details:

• School-aged students (ages 522)

• Classrooms follow a 6:1:3.5 model (6 students, 1 teacher, 3.5 support staff)

• All students have intellectual and developmental disabilities

• Approximately 8085% of students are diagnosed with Autism

Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement Individualized Education Plans (IEPs)

• Create and maintain a structured, supportive, and engaging classroom environment

• Provide academic instruction, behavioral support, and life skills development

• Collaborate with classroom aides, therapists, related service providers, and families

• Maintain accurate and timely documentation and progress monitoring

• Participate in IEP meetings and team planning sessions

Requirements:

• Valid Special Education Certification in the state of New York

• Experience with students with Autism and intellectual/developmental disabilities preferred

• Strong communication, organization, and classroom management skills

• Commitment to supporting students with diverse learning needs

• Must pass a background check and any district-mandated onboarding procedures
