To work as a special education teacher in the state of Massachusetts, you need to meet the following requirements.

Special Education Degree: A Bachelor's of Science in Education with an emphasis in teaching students with special needs is recommended.

Required Tests and Endorsements: You must pass several tests to gain Special Education credentials.

Background Checks: Comprehensive background checks , including fingerprinting, are required for student safety.

Academic Verification: Provide proof of completing an accredited educator preparation program.
