We're partnering with an exceptional school district in Essex County, MA searching for a *5th Grade Special Education Teacher* for short-term classroom coverage from September–November 2025. * Location: In-person (no hybrid/remote options available) * Start Date: September 2025 * End Date: November 2025 * Schedule: Monday-Friday, 7:45am-2:30pm * Guaranteed Hours: 35 hours per week * Grade Level: 5th Grade * Caseload: 8-10 students *Position Details:* * Provide specialized instruction and cultivate an inclusive educational environment for 5th grade students with diverse learning needs. * Collaborate with staff and families to support individualized education plans. * Maintain accurate documentation and communication regarding student progress. *Responsibilities:* * Provide direct instruction aligned with IEP goals and classroom curriculum. * Support classroom management and behavioral strategies in a way that meets individual student needs. * Monitor and document student progress and provide timely updates to families and school personnel. * Participate in team meetings, professional development sessions, and IEP reviews as needed. *Qualifications:* * Bachelor's degree in Special Education, Primary/Secondary Education, Early Childhood Education, or a related field. * Professional teaching license with a Special Education endorsement from the Massachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary Education (DESE). * Experience supporting students with disabilities in an academic or classroom-based setting.
