Strong Support System : Ongoing support from the school faculty, ensuring you never feel alone in your career Professional Development: Continuous opportunities for training and growth PLUS: Weekly compensation, licensure reimbursement, referral bonus Job Details: Position: Contracted Special Education Teacher Hours: Full-time, 40 hours (Monday - Friday) Assignment Type: Elementary School- Autism Classroom As a K-12 school-based Special Education Teacher in Charleston, SC , your days will include: Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) aligned with student needs, district guidelines, and state standards. Deliver differentiated instruction using evidence-based practices tailored to each student's unique strengths and needs. Establish and maintain a safe, positive, and inclusive classroom environment that promotes student engagement and independence. Assess, track, and report student progress toward IEP goals through ongoing data collection and formative/summative evaluations. Maintain accurate and timely documentation of student progress, service minutes, and compliance requirements. Collaborate with general education teachers, service providers, families, and school staff to ensure student access to the general curriculum. Provide accommodations, modifications, and behavioral supports in accordance with IEPs and 504 Plans. Participate in IEP meetings, parent conferences, and multidisciplinary team meetings. Integrate technology to support instruction, communication, and student engagement. Engage in ongoing professional development, staff meetings, and training as required Successful Candidates Possess: A Bachelors or Master's degree in Special Education (required) Valid state teaching license/certification in Special Education (required) Experience teaching students with disabilities in a classroom or resource setting. Strong understanding of IDEA, IEP development, and progress monitoring. Ability to manage a diverse caseload and collaborate effectively with a multidisciplinary team. Strong classroom management, communication, and organizational skills.
