We are seeking a Sow Production Manager responsible for leading, managing, and developing farm managers to optimize performance while adhering to company SOPs. The role involves working with the Senior Production Manager to ensure farms meet productivity, efficiency, and profitability goals.

Responsibilities

• Implement standardized programs at the farm level.
• Lead and manage workforce performance effectively.
• Ensure safety procedures are followed and promote safety to reduce incidents.
• Monitor and resolve production and maintenance issues.
• Improve production techniques through analysis and implementation.
• Support staff development and training.
• Communicate farm concerns to relevant management and veterinary staff.
• Conduct farm visits, review records, and develop action plans.
• Analyze production data to resolve issues.
• Follow biosecurity practices to protect animal health.
• Complete assigned tasks and special projects as directed.

Qualifications

• B.S. degree in Animal Science or related field, or
• At least 5 years of sow farm management experience.

Skills and Knowledge

• Advanced knowledge of swine production principles.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.
• Effective communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
• Ability to work under time pressures.

Physical and Mental Demands

• Ability to stand, walk, kneel, squat, and be on feet for up to 10 hours.
• Frequent bending, reaching, pulling, lifting (up to 100 lbs with assistance).
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Work in noisy environments requiring hearing protection.
• Respectful interaction with team members and animals.
• Willingness to travel daily, including some overnight stays.
