Job Title: Southeast USA Area Research Manager

Lead a High-Impact Research Station in the Southeast
We're growing and we're seeking a senior-level research scientist and proven team leader to manage one of our premier research stations in the Southeast. This is a strategic and hands-on leadership role, responsible for both scientific direction and operational oversight of a cross-functional team—including researchers, technicians, and farm staff.
You'll lead multidisciplinary field, greenhouse, and lab trials focused on crop protection, sustainable agriculture, and product development. You'll also drive client success by ensuring high-quality trial design, data integrity, and proactive communication.

What You'll Do
- Oversee day-to-day operations of a regional research station, including scientific research staff and farm/technical support teams
- Design and manage field, greenhouse, and laboratory trials for evaluating crop protection products, particularly foliar, soil, and seed-applied treatments
- Develop and maintain strong working relationships with clients and cooperators
- Lead proposal development and transform opportunities into ready-to-sign research contracts
- Coordinate staffing, trial scheduling, data collection, and reporting workflows
- Ensure excellence in data management, trial execution, and final client deliverables
- Lead virtual and in-person meetings with cross-functional teams
- Maintain research infrastructure, equipment, and facility compliance
- Investigate emerging research methods and market trends to identify new service opportunities
- Support professional development and licensing compliance for team members
- Represent the station's capabilities and results in both internal and external settings
What You Bring
- Master's or Ph.D. in Agronomy, Entomology, Plant Pathology, Crop Protection, Biology, or related agricultural sciences
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in research management and agricultural product development
- Proven ability to manage scientific teams and agricultural staff in a research station setting
- Strong background in crop pest management, pesticide efficacy, and disease trials across field, greenhouse, and lab environments
- Expertise in research proposal development, scientific reporting, and client-facing presentations
- Understanding of soil pest biology and sustainable agricultural practices
- Excellent leadership, organizational, and interpersonal communication skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and research data management tool
