Sourcing Specialist - Penta Search Group : Job Details

Our client, a specialty chemicals manufacturer is seeking a Sourcing Specialist – Chemicals to join its strategic sourcing team. In this role, you'll support procurement operations focused on the chemicals category, helping improve supplier performance, reduce costs, and ensure supply continuity for critical operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct supply market analysis and identify qualified suppliers
• Support RFx processes, contract negotiations, and manage SLAs
• Ensure compliance with procurement policies and supplier agreements
• Resolve invoice issues and supplier quality complaints (SCARs)
• Lead day-to-day supplier communications and negotiations
• Track contract expirations and manage scope of work documentation
• Contribute to supplier governance meetings and performance reviews

Ideal Candidate Profile:

• Bachelor's degree in Procurement, Supply Chain, or related field
• 3–5 years of procurement or sourcing experience, ideally in a regulated industry
• Proficiency in ERP systems and Microsoft Office
• Strong negotiation, analytical, and problem-solving skills
• Familiarity with cost reduction initiatives and market trend analysis
• Ability to collaborate with global teams and manage competing priorities
• Experience in the pharmaceutical industry preferred
