Why this job matters:

This role involves developing and executing strategic sourcing strategies to generate cost savings, manage vendor demand, and promote positive purchasing behaviors across the organization.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Developing and implementing enterprise-wide sourcing strategies.
  • Managing the end-to-end procurement process for assigned commodities, including market research, vendor identification, and procurement approach recommendations.
  • Creating procurement documents, analyzing vendor responses, and facilitating vendor negotiations and contract signing.
  • Coordinating legal assessments of vendor contracts and supporting vendor performance evaluations.
  • Ensuring compliance with procurement processes and supporting legal and cross-functional teams.
  • Maintaining vendor relationships, including presentations and diversity reports.
  • Responding to vendor and internal inquiries related to procurement processes.
  • Participating in departmental initiatives and projects.
  • Performing additional duties as assigned.
  • Qualifications for success:

    • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, Finance, or related field, or equivalent experience.
    • 3-5 years of experience in strategic sourcing and vendor management.
    • Knowledge of vendor performance metrics and complex supply chain deals.
    • Strong influencing, negotiation, analytical, and communication skills.
    • Ability to interpret contracts, analyze data, and navigate ambiguous situations.
    • Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.

    Preferred experience:

    • 3+ years within a Fortune 500 or management consulting organization.

    Location:

    Based in downtown Providence with flexible remote options (0-1 days/week), eligible in specified states with HR approval.
