Sourcing Manager - Bunn : Job Details

Responsible for the day to day vendor management and selection for suppliers within commodity supply base; procuring of diversified commodities through supplier development to ensure delivered quality, product availability and value; analyze problems and provide resolution to ensure business goals and objectives can be met; execute to the timeline and direction developed by the Director of Purchasing.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Research, discover and analyze potential new suppliers.
• Build capabilities with new and existing suppliers.
• Development and relationship building of suppliers into key partners.
• Responsible for tracking and improving quality, availability, and value for individual suppliers.
• Continuous evaluation of costs, lead times and inventory turns.
• Understand the competitive landscape within commodity base as well as all processes, materials and costs related to their commodities.
• Successfully implement New Product Initiative projects within budgeted cost profiles and agreed upon timelines.
• Work with internal Quality and Engineering Departments to meet company goals for cost and timeline.
• Report on key metrics on a monthly basis.
• Provide the leadership to ensure BUNN s Mission and Core Values are the centerpieces of the organization.
• Perform other assigned duties.

QUALIFICATIONS

Ideal candidate would have B.S. Degree in Business Management, Engineering, Manufacturing Technology or related field; 7+ years experience in global supply chain solutions; hands-on experience with materials sourcing and supply chain management; strong negotiation skills; demonstrated knowledge of commodities, manufacturing methods, market conditions and sources of supply; demonstrated knowledge of Engineering and Quality principles and methods; strong project management skills for both commodity management and new product development assistance; developed proficiency in use of PC and applications; Independent self-starter who is detail oriented and a good communicator; previous experience using SAP and/or MRP systems. The ability to multitask and provide follow through is critical.
