Overview

Baseten is seeking a Solutions Engineer to collaborate with our sales team, helping prospects and customers understand the technical value of our platform. This role involves conducting demonstrations, running benchmarks, and creating custom proof-of-concepts to showcase how Baseten's inference infrastructure can meet specific customer needs. It is essential in translating technical capabilities into business value.

Responsibilities
  • Partner with the sales team to engage prospects and provide technical expertise during the sales process.
  • Assist in evaluating Baseten's platform for prospective clients.
  • Create tailored demonstrations and proof-of-concepts demonstrating Baseten's capabilities.
  • Gather customer requirements and provide feedback to inform product development.
  • Identify common customer challenges and collaborate with product teams to address them.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, ML models, and AI deployment best practices.
  • Work with the Forward Deployed Engineer team for strategic customer engagement.
    • Minimum Requirements
  • 2+ years in technical pre-sales, solutions engineering, or similar roles, preferably in ML/AI.
  • Intermediate proficiency in Python.
  • Basic understanding of AI/ML concepts, especially model deployment and inference.
  • Familiarity with open-source ML models and frameworks like LangChain and Hugging Face.
  • Excellent communication skills to explain technical concepts clearly.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience.

    Salary Range: $150,000 - $180,000 per year
