Enterprise Solutions Engineer

Chicago, IL (Hybrid)

We are seeking an experienced Enterprise Solutions Engineer for a well-established legal firm in Chicago. This individual will play a key role in implementing and supporting off-the-shelf and custom software solutions that align with business needs. The ideal candidate will be a problem-solver with strong technical expertise and an interest in process improvement.

Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather and clarify project and technical requirements.
• Lead architecture and design decisions, ensuring system integration with existing platforms and alignment with long-term IT strategy.
• Oversee implementation of cloud-based solutions, ensuring alignment with business operations and driving operational efficiency.
• Create and present documentation such as mockups, workflows, and diagrams to support solution evaluation and implementation.
• Develop and support solutions involving databases (primarily MSSQL) and workflows, working primarily on a Mac platform.
• Partner with internal stakeholders to test, train, and roll out new technology features and services.
• Act as an advocate for technological solutions across the organization, increasing awareness and usage.
• Follow the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and document systems/processes in tools like Confluence.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's Degree and 5+ years of experience in business analysis, computer science, or project management. Legal industry experience preferred.
• Hands-on experience managing complex software and systems projects with multiple stakeholders.
• Strong skills in MSSQL, including writing and troubleshooting SQL queries, stored procedures, and working with normalized databases.
• Experience in cloud-based environments, and comfort working on Mac systems in a hybrid IT setup.
• Familiarity with SharePoint Online, Power Platform (Power BI, PowerApps, Power Automate); experience with scripting tools like PowerShell is preferred.
• Excellent problem-solving, documentation, and communication skills.
