Position Overview

Ideally looking for someone in the Austin, TX area; hybrid is ideal, but will consider flexible/remote for the right candidate.

We are seeking a cloud-first, AI-forward Solutions Delivery Manager to join our Customer Solutions Delivery organization. Reporting to senior leadership, you will be responsible for driving the delivery of cloud-native technology solutions across key business domains. This role requires deep expertise in AWS services and a passion for leveraging artificial intelligence and machine learning to transform legacy operations into modern, intelligent, and scalable digital platforms. As a domain leader, you will champion the adoption of AWS cloud-native architectures and AI/ML capabilities to modernize core systems, implement intelligent automation, and accelerate digital transformation. You will lead a team of cloud engineers and technical analysts while collaborating with business stakeholders to deliver innovative solutions that improve efficiency, scalability, and customer experience.

Key Responsibilities
  • Cloud-Native Solution Delivery
  • Lead AWS cloud-native implementations for critical business applications
  • Design and deliver serverless architectures using AWS Lambda, API Gateway, and EventBridge
  • Implement microservices-based solutions leveraging Amazon ECS/EKS and AWS Fargate
  • Drive containerization initiatives and orchestrate deployments using AWS native services
  • Ensure solutions maximize AWS Well-Architected Framework principles
  • AI/ML Integration & Innovation
  • Spearhead AI/ML initiatives using Amazon SageMaker for predictive analytics and automation
  • Implement intelligent document processing using Amazon Textract and Comprehend
  • Deploy AI-driven models for decision support and forecasting using AWS AI services
  • Leverage Amazon Bedrock and generative AI for customer interaction and recommendation engines
  • Build ML pipelines for continuous model training, deployment, and monitoring
  • AWS Technology Leadership
  • Guide architecture decisions leveraging AWS managed services (RDS, DynamoDB, S3, Kinesis)
  • Implement event-driven architectures using Amazon EventBridge and SNS/SQS
  • Ensure solutions follow AWS security best practices including IAM, KMS, and Security Hub
  • Drive Infrastructure as Code adoption using AWS CDK and CloudFormation
  • Business Partnership & Domain Leadership
  • Serve as the primary technology partner for core business application areas
  • Translate complex requirements into cloud-native, AI-enhanced solutions
  • Partner with stakeholders to identify AI/ML use cases for automation and decision support
  • Champion data-driven decision making through AWS analytics and BI tools
  • Team Management & Development
  • Lead and mentor a team of 5-10 cloud engineers and analysts
  • Build team expertise in AWS services, cloud-native development, and AI/ML technologies
  • Foster a culture of cloud-first thinking and continuous experimentation with new AWS capabilities
  • Collaborate with AWS solution architects and support teams for optimal outcomes
  • Cloud Operations & Excellence
  • Implement monitoring and observability using CloudWatch, X-Ray, and DataDog
  • Ensure high availability through multi-AZ deployments and auto-scaling
  • Optimize AWS costs through Reserved Instances, Savings Plans, and right-sizing initiatives
  • Implement CI/CD pipelines using AWS CodePipeline, CodeBuild, and CodeDeploy
  • Maintain compliance using AWS Config, CloudTrail, and Audit Manager
  • Stakeholder Management
  • Present cloud migration strategies and AI roadmaps to senior management
  • Collaborate with AWS account teams and solution architects for technical guidance
  • Manage cloud spending and demonstrate ROI of AWS investments
  • Facilitate workshops to showcase AI and cloud innovation opportunities
Qualifications

Required

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field (or equivalent experience)
  • 7 years of technology experience, with at least 3 years in a leadership role
  • Extensive hands-on experience with AWS services across compute, storage, databases, and networking
  • Proven expertise in cloud-native application development and microservices architecture
  • Strong background implementing AI/ML solutions using AWS AI/ML services (SageMaker, Bedrock, etc.)
  • Experience with serverless architectures and event-driven systems
  • Proficiency in Infrastructure as Code using AWS CDK, CloudFormation, or Terraform
  • Deep understanding of AWS security, compliance, and governance best practices
  • Experience migrating legacy systems to AWS cloud
  • Strong knowledge of business process workflows in enterprise applications
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to articulate cloud and AI value propositions

Preferred

  • AWS Certifications: Solutions Architect Professional, Machine Learning Specialty, or DevOps Engineer
  • Experience with Amazon Bedrock and generative AI applications
  • Familiarity with AWS Lake Formation and building data lakes for analytics
  • Experience with real-time streaming analytics using Kinesis and Kafka
  • Background in AWS-based customer engagement and automation solutions
  • Experience with large-scale enterprise application platforms
  • Knowledge of AWS Partner Network solutions
