Job Description
Wood is recruiting for a Solutions Architect within the Systems Integration Team.
The Role
Reporting to the Business Manager of Digital Integration, the Solutions Architect will be responsible for Digital Integration business growth and delivery across Energy and Materials industries within North America. The Solutions Architect will provide principal consulting on OT hardware and software integration for ‘Edge to Cloud' solutions, supporting project teams and helping to build Wood's Digital Integration service portfolio and business volume in an industrial automation environment.

Responsibilities
Advise clients and promote, develop, and implement integrated digital solutions for industrial control systems in the Energy and Materials industries across North America.Consult clients on their Digitalization roadmap development and implementation.Support the growth, development, and delivery performance across projects in Digital Integration solutions and other industry verticals.Maximize long-term customer relationships and commercial return by positioning Wood for contract extensions and renewals.Consult on solutions to strategic, contractual, technical, commercial, operational, and personnel challenges impacting customer service and performance.Stay updated on technical practices, standards, and technology trends in the industrial information industry.Support Business Development with presentations, estimates, and proposal responses.Build practice knowledge base and resources within the organization.Represent Wood in the professional community through industry forums, publishing white papers, and participating in professional organization committees as a subject matter expert.Maintain relationships with strategic/key clients and execution partners, supporting the development of new relationships.Implement Digital Integration solutions, including facilitating client meetings, engaging with stakeholders, managing technical interfaces, and preparing execution plans.Specify, select, configure, and test materials and equipment.Support project teams in solution delivery and commissioning equipment at client facilities.Manage technical and commercial change, ensuring delivery to budget and schedule targets.Qualifications
- University Degree (bachelors or masters) in relevant discipline or equivalent experience.
- Proven track record in delivering industrial information projects.
- Experience with reference architectures (e.g., TOGAF, SABSA, Industry 4.0) in an industrial automation environment.
- Hands-on experience developing data models and implementing data connectors from multiple sources.
- Cloud solutions architect certifications (Azure, Cognite, AWS) preferred.
- Knowledge of information security practices.
- 10+ years of experience in Industrial Control Systems, preferably in relevant industry verticals.
- Experience with industrial network protocols and historians.
- Hands-on experience with industrial firewalls, backup solutions, and cybersecurity measures.
- Strong client SME and relationship-building skills.
- Customer-focused, accountable, strategic, and collaborative attributes.
