Hourly rate 110.00 with benefits Corp. to Corp. rate 120.00 Solution Architect - Data Warehouses & Data Engineering The Solution Architect will work in close partnership with both technical and business stakeholders, providing expert guidance, oversight, and validation for all client-led data architecture work. This role requires advanced expertise in Microsoft modern data warehousing technologies to drive scalable, enterprise-grade data solutions. Key Responsibilities Architectural Oversight
- Lead and oversee comprehensive data architecture including data models, data pipelines, ETL/ELT processes, and integration strategies.
- Design and implement solutions leveraging Microsoft Fabric capabilities including OneLake, Data Factory, Synapse Data Engineering, Synapse Data Warehouse, Synapse Data Science, SQL Server, and Power BI.
- Ensure solutions are robust, scalable, and maintainable, supporting both current reporting needs and future analytics requirements.
- Architect data warehouse patterns and standards.
Requirements Translation
- Collaborate with business analysts and stakeholders to translate business, compliance, and reporting requirements into scalable technical architectures and data models.
- Design solutions that align with business objectives and regulatory requirements.
- Create comprehensive data flow diagrams and architectural blueprints.
Technical Validation
- Provide expert review and validation of architectural decisions, data models, and implementation approaches proposed by client teams.
- Advise on best practices for data lineage, historical tracking, schema versioning, and data quality.
- Validate performance optimization strategies and cost management approaches for the solution.
- Review and approve data governance policies and security implementations.
Governance and Standards
- Define and enforce architectural standards, data governance frameworks, and security models.
- Establish documentation practices and maintain architectural decision records.
- Ensure consistency and compliance across all data solutions.
Collaboration
- Facilitate collaboration between business and technical teams across the implementation lifecycle.
- Lead technical design sessions and architectural review meetings.
- Provide guidance on modern data engineering practices.
Risk Management
- Identify architectural risks and propose mitigation strategies, particularly in areas such as data integration, scalability, performance, and compliance.
- Assess security implications and implement appropriate data protection measures within Fabric.
Solution Roadmapping
- Contribute to the development of phased roadmaps and architectural blueprints.
- Ensure alignment with broader organizational initiatives and enable iterative delivery of business value.
- Design future-state architectures that leverage emerging capabilities.
Required Qualifications Technical Skills
- Microsoft Data Products Expertise: 2+ years hands-on experience with SQL Server and Microsoft Fabric, including Data Factory, Synapse Analytics, OneLake, and Power BI integration.
- Data Architecture: 7+ years experience in enterprise data architecture, data warehousing, and analytics solutions.
- Cloud Platforms: Expert-level knowledge of Microsoft Azure services, particularly those integrated with Fabric.
- Data Engineering: Proficiency in modern data engineering tools, ETL/ELT processes, and real-time data processing.
- Programming: Strong skills in SQL, Python, PySpark, and familiarity with the .NET ecosystem.
- Data Modeling: Advanced knowledge of dimensional modeling, data vault, and modern data modeling techniques.

Experience Requirements
