SolidWorks Drafting Associate

H&H is looking for a full-time SolidWorks Drafter to join our growing team. This professional will work directly with the COO and Engineering Manager in the office and with the crew on the manufacturing floor to create, design and problem solve. Bringing ideas and concepts to life in a clear and concise manner will be the foundation for this role.

Job Responsibilities

• Create accurate CAD drawings from hand sketches, verbal instructions, and customer-provided models

• Systematically archive drawings and documentation on CAD server

• Updating project folders and files as jobs progress and maintaining proper revision control

• Develop and modify standard models for repeated parts

• Professionally communicate with customers

• Assist and support other departments with various projects and tasks

• Communicate with plant personnel on manufacturing capabilities and best practices

Required Qualifications

· Outstanding fluency and skill within the SolidWorks program

· Minimum 1-year experience in a technical drafting role

Preferred Skills

· AutoCAD fluency

· RADAN experience or familiarity with other nesting software

· Experience in CAD/CAM, or CNC programming for laser cutting or similar

· 3D Scanning, surface modeling (i.e. Blender) experience or familiarity

· Degree or professional certificate in manufacturing or related field
