Job Description :

Solicitor needed in Bedford, £377.74 per day

To contribute to the provision of a comprehensive high-quality legal service to the Client and its service areas.

The main focus of the post is: adult social care, immigration, and education work including special educational needs.

  • To provide legal advice and practice support in the relevant Departments, with an emphasis on Adult Social Care, Immigration, and Education.
  • Willingness or ability to acquire knowledge to handle some child protection matters.
  • To advise on Education issues, including special educational needs.
  • Attend meetings of Full Council, the Executive, Committees, and Working Groups as required.
  • Conduct legal research and provide advice accordingly.
  • Work in accordance with Lexcel or other quality management systems in place.
  • Undertake additional duties as requested by the Service Manager (ACE), Head of Legal Services, or the Assistant Chief Executive (Governance and HR), appropriate to the grade.
  • Assist the Solicitor to the Client in monitoring roles.

    • This is a full-time role on a temporary contract basis.
