Summary The Solder Operator is responsible for assembling and soldering electronic components on a variety of circuit board assemblies encompassing Pin Thru-hole and Surface Mount Technologies for Mack Technologies Florida, Inc. This is a 2nd shift position (Monday - Friday 3:30pm - 11:30pm). Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Follow assembly procedures and process documentation.
- Verify integrity of material to be assembled.
- Assemble and/or solder electronic components in specific printed circuit board locations, following procedure and/or visual aide instruction.
- Inspect circuit board assembly parts to determine soldering requirements.
- Pre-form component leads per process documentation.
- Identify and report defective components.
- Responsible for the accuracy of work-in process associated with work cell.
- Responsible for the cleanliness of work area and surrounding workspace.
- Understand and follow all applicable ISO and job specific procedures.
- Maintain ESD integrity within production environment.
- May train other employees.
- Other responsibilities as directed and necessary for the business.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent education.
- J-STD-001 certification required.
- IPC-A-610 Certified preferred.
- 2+ years of experience in soldering printed circuit board assemblies required.
- Must pass hands-on soldering skills test.
- Knowledge of component identification and component nomenclature.
- Knowledge of ISO9001 and IPC Standards.
- ESD Training.
- Ability to read procedures and interpret visual aids.
- Basic computer skills, problem solving and workstation skills.
- Experience with high-volume work.
- Must have the ability to operate in a multi-tasking, highly dynamic work environment.
- Must possess excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Willingness to work flexible hours as necessary.
