OverviewMpower Solar is the largest NYC-based solar installer, leading the industry in sales, design,construction, and maintenance. We're looking for a Solar Operations Manager to join our Brooklyn HQ and lead our Proposal Design and Engineering, Project Management, and Account Management teams.This role is all about leadership and execution-driving team performance, improving coordination with field crews, and finding efficiencies across the project lifecycle. The ideal candidate is a strong operator who can lead teams, streamline processes, and keep projects moving on time and on budget.ResponsibilitiesResponsibilities:The Solar Operations Manager will be responsible for overseeing four teams while maintaining excellent stakeholder management.

  • Account Management Team:
• Serves as the primary point of contact for homeowners throughout the installationprocess.• Ensure efficient scheduling of all phases of the project - including Site Survey,Electrical, Roofing, Installation, and DOB Inspection• Maintain high standards of communication, ensuring customers are kept informed and supported throughout their solar journey.
  • Proposal Creation Team:
• Support the Proposal Team Manager in overseeing the creation of accurate and high-quality designs and proposals for prospective customers.• Ensure proposal documents meet company standards in terms of accuracy, completeness, and consistency.• Facilitate collaboration between the proposal, sales, and engineering teams to develop tailored solutions for customers.
  • Project Management Team:
• Oversee all technical filings related to solar installations, including Plan Sets,Department of Buildings (DOB) permits, utility interconnection, and Permission toOperate (PTO).• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and maintain clear communicationwith relevant agencies and stakeholders.• Monitor project progress, identify risks, and implement mitigation strategies for timely completion.QualificationsQualifications:
  • Proven experience in project management in the Solar energy industry.
  • Self-starter, highly organized, resourceful, and comfortable working in an entrepreneurial environment.
  • Detail-oriented with a strong sense of personal responsibility and ownership of work products.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects 200+ simultaneously and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in project management software and Microsoft Office Suite
