Software Support Specialist - Data & Insights Solutions

Unblocking stuck clients, solving technical problems with teammates, and documenting solutions are key aspects of this role. We are seeking diverse, high-performing team members to support clients using a cloud-based data platform for government data-sharing programs.

Why this job is important

Support Specialists serve as product experts and technical advisors for Tyler data platforms, engaging with a wide range of clients from public users to government data professionals. Daily tasks include troubleshooting, client communication, and supporting data analysis and visualization efforts.

Responsibilities
  • Investigate client-reported issues and test solutions.
  • Troubleshoot data and technical issues, including ETL pipelines.
  • Assist clients with data formatting for analysis.
  • Participate in meetings to inform use cases.
  • Use platform APIs and programming languages to develop solutions.
  • Maintain a knowledge base and contribute to documentation.
  • Support clients and internal teams with knowledge and troubleshooting.
  • Qualifications

    Technical skills and a desire to learn:

    • Understanding of technical concepts and ability to learn new technologies quickly.
    • Knowledge of web development principles and programming (SQL, Python a plus).
    • Basic understanding of data concepts and database structures.

    Communication and problem-solving skills:

    • Ability to explain technical issues clearly.
    • Effective stakeholder communication and advocacy.
    • Ownership and initiative in resolving issues.

    Attitude and work ethic:

    • Self-starter, accountable, and team-oriented.
    • Motivated to learn and grow within the company.

    Logistical requirements:

    • Flexible to work shifts supporting multiple time zones.
    • Ability to pass background checks for high-security systems.

    Salary & Benefits

    Salary range: $45,000 - $65,000, plus benefits supporting health and financial wellness.
