Role Overview: We seek a skilled Software Solutions Architect with expertise in software architecture, application modernization, cloud-native development, and Pre-Sales Solution Architecture. You will educate clients on modern software design, assist in refactoring and modernization, and oversee project plans to deliver business value. The role combines technical skills, strategic thinking, and strong communication.

• Act as a technical expert and trusted advisor, positioning RapidScale as a leader in software modernization during sales.
• Conduct discovery workshops to identify client needs and define solutions for application modernization.
• Lead strategy workshops on microservices, cloud-native design, DevOps, and CI/CD.
• Architect solutions on AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud, leveraging modernization tools.
• Develop cost estimates, labor projections, and Statements of Work (SOWs).
• Create technical collateral, documentation, reference architectures, and sales materials.
• Provide technical training for Sales and Go-to-Market teams.
• Ensure smooth transition from pre-sales to implementation, documenting architectures clearly.
• Collaborate with Product teams for feedback and enhancements.
• Represent as a thought leader at industry events and in publications.

Minimum:

• High School Diploma/GED + 7 years' experience, or equivalent in related discipline with 5-9 years' experience.
• Certification in major cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
• Experience in fast-paced sales environments, especially pre-sales architecture.
• Expertise in software architecture patterns, microservices, refactoring, event-driven, serverless.
• Strong understanding of DevOps, CI/CD, API design, security.
• Proficiency in Java, Python, C#, JavaScript, Go, or Rust.
• Experience with containers and orchestration (Kubernetes, Docker, etc.).
• Hands-on with cloud migrations and modernization.
• Knowledge of IaC tools (Terraform, CloudFormation, etc.).

Preferred:

• Cloud-native application development certifications.
• Experience modernizing legacy systems and managing technical debt.
• Multi-cloud expertise across AWS, Azure, Google Cloud.
• Knowledge of AI/ML integration, service mesh, API gateways.

Compensation: $126,200 - $189,200 annually, plus an incentive of up to $52,800.
