Description
Apple Services Engineering (ASE) is looking for a dynamic individual with strong technical and communication skills that can contribute to a team and support its fast paced growth. Join our exciting team that is dedicated to providing the highest quality video products to our customers. This role works closely with engineering during all aspects of the development process. And you are responsible for being detailed at managing priorities and communicating progress as well as risk. In addition, this position asks you to be detailed oriented and determined, allowing you to balance between automation and manual testing, multi-tasking in a fast-paced testing environment.
Minimum Qualifications
- In-depth knowledge of Windows hardware GPU/video card configurations and its impact on quality of DRM playback
- Extensive experience in DRM video playback testing, including knowledge of testing video streaming quality such as 4K, HDR, and Dolby Vision
- Independently lead automation strategy planning and come up with new ways to optimize automation test framework
- Experience building automation harness using Python, Selenium, Appium, Chrome Driver, Win App Driver or collaborating with other scripting languages
- Experience applying automation tools such as Git-Hub, Pycharm (or other coding Editors), Jenkins
- Deep understanding of software development lifecycle, SQA test methodologies and tools, and passion for qualification process
- Expertise in developing test strategies, and passionate in improving qualification process
- Ability to connect with diverse teams, with both experts and novices, in technical and non-technical roles
- Attention to details with the ability to deliver solid work on tight schedule
- Excellent analytical skills and ability to autonomously solve problems, as well as collaborate with direct and extended teams
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Master's or Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science and Engineering or equivalent experience
Preferred Qualifications
- Comfortable to use CharlesProxy or any other network monitoring /debugging tools
- Familiarity with http status codes (client, server error)
- Familiarity with testing Apps on iOS, tvOS devices
At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $134,800 and $245,800, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.Apple employees also have the opportunity to become an Apple shareholder through participation in Apple's discretionary employee stock programs.
