Software Engineer in Test - Swoon : Job Details

Swoon is partnering with a leading retail and e-commerce company to find an experienced SDET (Software Development Engineer in Test) for an exciting initial 3-month contract-to-hire opportunity. Here are the details:

Location: Flexible hybrid in Deerfield, IL

Duration: Initial 3-month contract-to-hire

Pay Rate: $65-70/hr W2 (W2 only)

Experience:

• Preferably mid-Senior with at least 5 years of experience in testing and building automation frameworks

Background:

• E-commerce and retail experience is a big plus that will help candidate hit the ground running
• This candidate will work cross-functionally with business and multiple teams. Needs to be friendly, open, very strong communicator.

Some Roles and responsibilities of SDET:

• Strong background in both programming and software testing
• Performing test automation and setting up frameworks on multiple application platforms (Web, Mobile, Desktop, etc.).
• Creating and managing bug reports and communicating with the team.
• Building different test scenarios and acceptance tests and just has great testing mindset.
• Work closely with developers and product managers to understand project requirements, business objectives, technical specifications, and user scenarios
• Retail commerce background or knowledge is highly desired
• Excellent communication skills. Need a problem solver and solution seeker

Interview: 3 rounds

• 1st round technical, coding round (entry-to mid-level coding exp in language of their choice- Java, Node, etc).; if coding round is passed
• 2nd and 3rd rounds together in Deerfield (focus on roles and responsibilities - automation frameworks, etc.)
• 3rd round behavioral round - strong communication and behavioral skills
