Software Engineering Manager - Morgan Hunter Companies : Job Details

Job DescriptionMorgan Hunter is working with a valued client to help them identify candidates for a Software Engineering Manager position. This role is direct hire. It's a hybrid role, in the office 2 or 3 days a week, M/W/F. They are looking for someone to join their team who believes in the product they've created. In this role you will be 60% managing a team of 5 and 40% in the code. They are looking for the following qualifications:

• 7+ years of backend or frontend development experience
• 3+ years of management experience
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
• Desire to meet and exceed measurable performance goals
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Experience working with internal stakeholders, designers, and support personnel to take a product from inception to production
• Ability to mentor engineers in writing high quality, well-tested code that meets the needs of our customers
• Previous experience with our tech stack:
  • Python: Django, FastAPI, Celery
  • Docker/Kubernetes
  • PostgreSQL + PostGIS
  • RESTful APIs and JSON: API
  • AWS: Fargate, RDS, API Gateway
  • Typescript, React
