Job Description: Python Software Engineer

We are seeking a talented and motivated Python Software Engineer to join our dynamic team in Herndon, VA. Primary Location: Herndon (possible 1-2 days in McLean or Warrenton)

Required Education, Experience, & Skills

We are looking for experienced Software Engineers to join our technology-based program supporting a key Government customer. Qualified candidates will have a bachelor's or master's Degree and a minimum of eleven (11) years related experience in the following areas:

• Senior Software Developer / Systems Engineer responsible for the automated provisioning of physical and AWS servers, utilizing existing COTs products (ServiceNow). Knowledge of ServiceNow as an automated provisioning mechanism for multiple cloud service providers, including Azure and AWS Windows and Linux AMIs, is required. Extensive scripting knowledge in PowerShell, Power-CLI, JavaScript, Python, Perl, and Bash Shell scripting is essential.
• Deep understanding/experience in Cloud technologies (AWS, MS Azure, Google Cloud, IBM Cloud, Oracle Cloud).
• Ability to recommend cloud solutions based on customer/system requirements.
• Provide analytical and technical support, installation, repair, and troubleshooting in cloud services.
• Provide cloud guidance and technical support to customers in a multi-cloud environment.
• Develop Web-based UIs and support services.
• Linux experience and system automation skills.
• Experience developing ServiceNow applications and extensive JavaScript experience.
• Proficiency in Python.

Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills

• IT system automation including AI/ML.
• Experience with automated testing.
• Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE).
• Automation tools (e.g., Ansible, Chef, Puppet, Terraform).
• Knowledge of SecDevOps and Infrastructure as Code.
• Experience in cloud design, implementation, and configuration.
• Knowledge of Agile development principles.
• Familiarity with modern software languages such as Java, C, C++, C#, Python, Perl.

Position Clearance Requirement

TS/SCI with FSP clearance required.
