Jr. Software Engineer NSWCDDEnvisioneering, Inc. has an immediate opening for a full-time Software Engineer to support our current work at the Naval Surface Warfare Center Dahlgren Division (NSWCDD). This position offers a hybrid schedule with 4 days on-site per week. We are seeking a candidate with strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with multiple Government customers and technical staff.Summary Description:Perform both front-end and back-end development (full-stack).Develop and maintain scalable web applications using Python and Flask on the backend.Build RESTful APIs and integrate them with data visualization libraries like Apache eCharts or AgGrid.Experience working with relational databases such as PostgreSQL or MySQL.Job RequirementsMinimum Skills/Qualifications:Department of Defense (DoD) Secret security clearance required at the time of hire.Two to three years of experience in software development, including design, analysis, testing, and documentation.Proficiency in coding with C++, C#, Java, and Python.Experience with hardware communication protocols like TCP/IP, UDP, and serial communications.Experience developing real-time system software, working with databases (Oracle, MS Access), and familiarity with operating systems (Linux and Windows).Experience with containerization (Docker, Podman, Kubernetes), CI/CD pipelines, microservices, and front-end build tools like Webpack or Vite.Education:Bachelor's degree or higher in software engineering, computer science, or a related field from an accredited university.Benefits:Envisioneering, Inc. offers a stable work environment, competitive salary, and comprehensive benefits including 401k, medical/dental/vision insurance, FSA, short and long-term disability, life insurance, tuition reimbursement, paid leave, holidays, and more.Additional Conditions:You must pass a drug and pre-employment screening.
