Overview

Make it effortless for our operational teams to access powerful insights from physical-world data, accelerating continuous improvement from day one. Your work will ensure all necessary data exists—designing and deploying solutions if it does not—and pave the way for advanced simulations and Digital Twin technology. Initially hands-on, you'll strategically build and lead a high-performing team as we scale.

Responsibilities

  • Own the design and implementation of our data pipeline from sensor integration to analytics.

  • Work backward from critical insights to ensure data availability, quality, and usability.

  • Own and implement Statistical Process Control (SPC) systems for monitoring and optimizing machine performance.

  • Deeply influence existing integrations to meet data-driven decision-making requirements.

  • Prototype, deploy, and scale custom sensor systems or data collection hardware/software solutions.

  • Deliver intuitive tools allowing engineers to easily analyze, visualize, and act on operational data.

  • Ensure data accuracy and integrity so robustly that if stakeholders doubt the data, you can confidently demonstrate its validity.

  • Act as an individual contributor initially, then strategically build your team to scale capabilities.

  • Lead hiring, mentoring, and managing a dedicated team, fostering an environment of accountability, innovation, and operational excellence.

Requirements

  • Have personally brought a complex physical data collection system online from scratch in an industrial, fleet robotics, or IIoT context.

  • Have 5+ years of experience leading data or engineering teams, including hiring, mentorship, and performance management.

  • Demonstrate hands-on expertise with hardware integration, sensor selection, and edge computing.

  • Have strong software engineering skills, ideally with experience in Go or similar languages.

  • Have worked closely with physical sensors or hardware integration in an operational environment.

Bonus Qualifications

  • Experience developing systems supporting simulation, digital twins, or advanced predictive analytics.

  • Background in environments heavily dependent on physical asset monitoring or control, such as fleet robotics, industrial automation, or infrastructure systems.
