Our DOD/Aerospace client is looking to fill a Software Engineer position that just opened in McLeansville, NC. The position will design, implement, document, and implement on programs supporting our national security. To be considered, you will have a Bachelor's degree in Software Engineering plus a minimum of 5+ years of relevant experience. Job Title: Software Engineer Location: McLeansville, NC Contract Duration: 12 months or longer Pay: $54.27/hour Note: Due to the nature of work all candidates must be US Citizens. As a Software Engineer, you'll be a member of a cross-functional team responsible for development and maintenance of command and control and data processing systems. You will be responsible to design, implement, document, and implement on programs supporting our national security. The position provides the opportunity for close collaboration with systems, mechanical, and electrical teams. Requirements: • Requires a Bachelor's degree in Software Engineering, or a related Science, Engineering or Mathematics field. • Also requires 5+ years of job-related experience, or a Master's degree plus 3 years of job-related experience. Agile experience preferred. • Enterprise Java experience (Maven, Spring/SpringBoot, etc.) • Web Services/API backend experience (Server-side REST, etc.) • Enterprise software documentation experience (ICD/IDD, etc.) • Software Test Engineering experience (Labs, unit, integration, automation, etc.) • Developing applications in Java in both Linux and Windows environments Preferred Skills: • Modern Enterprise DevSecOps (Jira, GitLab, Nexus, SonarQube, etc.) • Model-based Software Engineering (MagicDraw, Teamwork Cloud, code-generation, etc.) • Containerized software deployments of microservices (Kubernetes, Docker, Podman, etc.) • Inter-process message brokerage experience (RabbitMQ, etc.) • Fiber optic network experience (ATM/Sonet, etc.) • Cybersecurity implementation (Edge Security, OAuth2, API Tokens, etc.) About our client: Our client is a mission critical DOD - Aerospace defense contractor developing solutions that will lead, serve, and protect our country.
